If you are new to computers its worth a try.

You can get the updates, there is a full working patch to make your copy genuine or get a corporate no cd key version, as i've done it for my legal copy of windows which wouldn't accept my cd-key and I couldn't be bothered getting it replaced, and the patch has been permanent ever since.

Places suggested above are correct BUT BEWARE of bundled spyware and trojans.

Use Avast and Spybot S&D to scan your system after fresh install.
