openoffice download powerpointOpenOffice Powerpoint Program worth the download?

I frequently use powerpoint programs, but I do not have Microsoft Powerpoint on my computer, nor do I necessarily want to shell out the money to purchase it. Does anyone have the OpenOffice Powerpoint program? Are you satisfied with it? And do OpenOffice files work with the Microsoft program? I know that Microsoft will open OpenOffice, but I don't know about vice versa. Is OpenOffice worth the download?

Here's where I got my info:

Thanks!
It's certaiopenoffice download powerpointnly worth the download. The interface isn't as polished as PowerPoint but it has most of the same features.

All versions of OpenOffice Presentation can open and save .ppt files, which PowerPoint used from 1995 to 2003. OpenOffice 3 can open but not save .pptx and .pptm programs, which are made by PowerPoint 2007. Only Office 2007 with service pack 2 applied can open and save the OpenDocument Presentations (odp) used by OpenOffice.
apart from open office, you can also try Gopenoffice download powerpointoogle Docs
you can view, create and edit Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents using Google Docs. The good thing is you do not need to install anything, it is all online. The bad thing is, it does not have as advanced editing as an installed app. tries it here:
Open Office is comparable to Microsoft Office. It is a suite of many programs similar to MS Office and in general will work with the files MS Office creates.
