I am doing a college project where i need to get the view of other people on the way they see music impacting society. Also if the lyrics in music can be used to release stress, if its a get away from the real world. I would also like to know if you personally believe that the lyrics int he music today is too extreme and if some of them should be banned for playing on the radio. Please give examples of songs and their singers.
thanks a lot in advance
Now a days the music industry is going down because develop of electronic things.
Total crap thes days. Eric.
I don't mind the tone of the music, but I strongly feel the mainstream discourages diversity, esptoday lyricsecially in the lyrics. Not all themes, but the primary seem to drive young listeners away from their normal conscience. To put it in another saying, most lyrics promote a negative influence. Something like youth homicides, pains-after-intercourse, misogyny, etc. Nearly nothing is original in modern music, yet with the exception of alternative and indie.
To all youth out there, just believe in yourselves and don't be the victim of the plagarized industrial syndrome that's conquering the world. Create another pop star in you. Certain radio stations can bear good fruit, yet some will produce bad also. You may not be vulnerable to a song's hidden bad meaningtoday lyricss, but you are who you listen to.
There are acts with meaningful lyrics with U2 in particular, however there is far too many songs with aggressive tones to it that leave a bad taste in the mouth in my humble opinion.
I mention U2 as I have an inoperable brain tumour and their lyrics and songs have helped inspire me through my tortuous battle
seems like everyone and their cat gets released these days.....some of the lyrics these days are just plain stupid, absolutely no thought in some song lyrics at all
Music has gone down the drain.
Most of the stuff is total rubbish. But if you bring up kids on rubbish they believe it to be acceptable.
