Just saw the billboard list of top albums and songs that was depressing... except for Sade who has the #1 album so yay... but other than that I was not impressed. It all seems to be more about visuals and looks now... I suppose it has been that way for a long certainly since MTV changed everything.
I listen to knew music but it never gets on the charts (Jacqui Naylor is fabulous!) I don't care so much about that other than I have to endure this "noise" at every restaurant, mall, and dance club I go into. I'm just marveling at the marketing machines that get people to buy unoriginal mediocre music with no dynamic range, cliche lyrics and the same beat over and over.
What do ya'll think of billboard popular music nowadays? It doesn't do anything for me, how about you?
Eh, it is all a littbillboard top 100 lyricsle cliche, but I still try to respect all music whether I like it or not. It's just what the majority of people are into and who am I to say that their taste in music is crap
Agreed with Cassidy. I'm getting sick of people complaining about how "pop music isn't music".
If you don't like it, don't talk about it, don't listen to it, don't complain about it.
well billboard top 100 is what the majority of people listen to. most popular. it's not surprisiing you find it boring, most people like you do

Some of it I do like, I won't hate on all of it, but from the 90's to now there has been a definite decline in quality.
I just wish some of the artists actually had vocal talent, then maybe I could actually like them!
The music today is crap.. A lot of the stuff obillboard top 100 lyricsn tha radio i hate. There is no depth in the lyrics which is why i just listen to... uh.. not popular (?) stuff. I dunno theres probably a word for that but whatever.
Don't hardly ever listen to Top 40 stuff. Listen to Alternative Rock, exclusively.

Billboard music kind of sucks sometimes so I never listen to their top 40 .

I normally like most of it, but I do like my own arist that have stopped making music now e.g The Corrs.
